However, we would like to inform you
that our businesses are located in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), in
the eastern part of the country. We have been operating for years but with
limited funds. We need funding for:
1. Purchasing minerals such as gold,
cassiterite, coltan, and others.
2. Processing staple foods like corn
into cornmeal and rice for livestock feed.
3. Operating a transport agency in the
eastern DRC, from Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and Malawi to Burundi and then to
the DRC. We have at least seven trucks and are looking for more to transport
goods within these countries.
4. Raising livestock (cattle, pigs,
chickens, fish, etc.).
5. Agriculture.
6. Construction.
7. Printing. Let's talk a little about
buying minerals:
As you know, in the DRC, for example,
gold is found almost everywhere, and we buy it, but the profits depend on the
capital you have. If you have little money, your profit will be small, but if
you have a sufficient amount, you will make a lot of money.
Currently, at the beginning of 2026, the
price of a gram of gold in the DRC exceeds USD 130 according to market prices,
which is more than USD 130,000 per kilogram. This price fluctuates weekly, with
a marked upward trend in 2025-2026, influenced by international prices. Export
prices can vary between artisanal and industrial miners. Ecofin Agency +4
• Current trend (Early 2026): The price
per gram has exceeded USD 130 (e.g., USD 131.71 in November 2025).
• Recent history: The price per gram
hovered around USD 83-86 at the end of 2024, USD 103 in April 2025, and then
exceeded USD 111 in September 2025.
• Factors: Prices are set by the
National Price Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, based on the
international market.
• We are talking about prices known to
everyone, even the government, but everything depends on your market
environment. In this case, you can look into how to incubate our businesses and
you can benefit from it.
Gold (Kivu): significant production
located in the east of the country (Kivu), (1,100 identified sites and 200
identified artisanal miners). The majority of production is artisanal. Only 18
industrial companies are registered with the Ministry of Mines. Most of the
gold produced in the DRC is smuggled out of the country. It is not included in
the country's export figures. This illicit trade fuels armed groups. Uganda,
which has a smelter, receives a large portion of this production. Kibali Randgold,
the only operator meeting international standards, runs one of the world's
largest gold mines, whose production is increasing (see above). Consequently,
the official statistics (442.16 kg for artisanal and 30,221.68 kg for
industrial) are largely meaningless. The DRC, however, does not appear among
the leading gold-producing countries on the continent…
We invite you to the DRC to do business
and incubate our startups with DERCOSA sarl. We can do better, and even more,
with your support.
